E-Learning Day for Duncanville Middle on Tuesday, November 5, 2024

E-Learning Day for Duncanville Middle on Tuesday, November 5, 2024

Duncanville Middle Families,

As you may know, our school is a polling location for the November 5 General Election. Because of this, Duncanville Middle School will have an E-Learning Day on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Students should not report to Duncanville Middle School on this day, and there will be no before or after school activities at DMS on November 5. Faculty and staff will report to school as normal. Teachers will be accessible by SchoolStatus, email, and phone to provide support for assignments. The E-Learning Day is for Duncanville Middle School only, and does not apply to any other schools in the Tuscaloosa County School System.

With this being a Presidential election, we expect higher voter turnout than we see for elections with only state or local offices on the ballot. This will create a high traffic situation that is just not ideal for our school, from a logistics and safety standpoint. For the future, we are going to look into options to see if the polling location can be moved from our school to another location in our area.

Please watch for information from your student’s teachers about assignments to complete for Tuesday, November 5. You will receive information prior to November 5 about assignments for this day.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your Duncanville Middle School administration.

Thank you,

Keri C. Johnson, Ed.D.
